Wieliczka is an interesting historical town, located 13km away from Krakow city centre. It is known worldwide from its Salt Mine, listed among the UNSECO World Cultural Heritage Monuments and visited yearly by over 1 million of tourists.
Apart from the Salt mine itself it is worth to visit here also:
– Saltworks Castle from XIII century
– Church St. Clement dating back to XI century
– St. Sebastian’s Church – wooden church from XVI century
It is worth to visit also Wieliczka Graduation Tower (Teznia Solankowa) that measures 7,500 square meters of surface area and an additional element prepared for those visiting the facility is the 22-meter high observation tower. The natural brine mist that forms in the area of the graduation tower, thanks to its therapeutic properties, facilitates the treatment of selected chronic respiratory system ailments and disorders.
For those who like to spend the time in an active way we strongly recommend a sport centre „Solne miasto“. On its premises we may find: swimming pool, tenis courts, playground for childer, gym and fitness centre. Among other outdoor possibilities are : Xtrem Park (climbing park), city park or Pinokio’s park for the youngest ones (with a swimming pool, playground, jungle gym, eko go-cart, pirate ship).
Apartments are located merely couple of minutes from A4 highway, 15 minutes walk (through city park) to the Salt Mine and 18 minutes from Krakow historical centre (12km). Quick and easy access to Krakow airport (A4 highway or by train).
